Identity
Posted on 07:11 by breat
It's a rainy night in the middle of nowhere and limo driver Ed Dakota (John Cusack) along with nine others find themselves stranded at a motel with a killer on the loose. Identity is a film from 2003 that has a lot of everything and mostly stuff we've seen before but the film still deserves some attention and more than it received.
The plot is something of a mixed bag. There are a lot of great characters and the acting by Ray Liotta and Cusack leads the way. Identity also nicely works it's way through some interesting and various plot settings that includes rainy sequences, the desert and also the motel. The ending also has one of the best killers you might ever see. There is also a surprise twist here that is kind of confusing as to what it is and the ending does struggle to create interesting kill scenes for this killer.
There is a good mixture of creativity and style here but better ideas would have improved this movie. Identity is a decent psychological/horror film that unfortunately fell off the face of the earth as soon as it was released.
3.5/5
